Kids birthday cake ideas they will love

The cake is the centre of every kids party, and the photo everyone keeps. Here are a few ideas from our kitchen, all 100% eggless, so every child at the party can have a slice.

Princess doll cakes

A doll cake turns the cake itself into the birthday girl's favourite princess. The skirt is the cake, covered in piped cream.

• Rose Princess Doll: a full ball gown of pink cream roses with little green leaves.
• Tiara Princess: a tiara, pink and white rosettes, butterflies and pearls.
• Doll Party Set: a red and pink flower skirt with a big red bow.

Doll cakes start from 1 kg, which gives the skirt enough height. Order them early, as they take the most piping.

A small doll on top

• Pick a flavour kids love. Chocolate, Vanilla and Red Velvet are always safe.
• Add the name and age. Type it in the "Message on cake" box when you order.
